Creative collaboration: the art of Til Anna Mikhailova now greets passengers Til Mechamn

A little over a month ago, an employee at Avinor (the local airport) wrote to me and asked if I had a high-resolution image that could be used as the wallpaper in the new airport entrance.
After discussing various options, we decided to choose not just one image, but a watercolor painting of the world's northernmost lighthouse, Slettnes Lighthouse, created by our friend and colleague, artist Anna Mikhaylova.
And now one of Anna's watercolors adorns the "airport" to Nordkyn Peninsula!
This is another fantastic example of creative collaboration – something we love!
The theme of Slettnes Lighthouse has been expressed in many ways: from photographs to paintings, to embroidery on sweaters, hats and headbands, to embroidered images and a wide variety of designs on T-shirts.
And we will return to this topic several times in future posts.
